Senator Marco Rubio endorsed by CWPAC
Concerned Women PAC endorses Marco Rubio
In early 2010, I really wanted to endorse this little known (outside of his state) representative from Florida.
His name was Marco Rubio, and after I had spoken with him, I thought he’d make a great U.S. Senator.
But I had a big problem.
Concerned Women Political Action Committee (CWPAC) requires a survey from our candidates that aligns 100 percent with our values, and Marco’s campaign back then wasn’t very organized. It took them a long time to get back to us.
I knew Marco was the right guy, but I owed it to our supporters to follow protocol. We want written assurances that a candidate is pro-life, pro-family, and conservative. I watched as our conservative allies endorsed then Representative Rubio without getting written statements on where he stood on important issues.
Finally, six months later, we had our completed survey back. 100% pro-life, pro-family.
This is an important story because I want you to know that CWPAC takes your support of our candidates very seriously.
We know you have neither the time nor the access to interview all the candidates. That’s why we do it for you. We have been doing it this way since 2002 and see no reason to stop now.
I’m happy to tell you that Senator Marco Rubio has decided to run again for his old Senate seat after his unsuccessful bid for President. And now we have his survey as well as his conservative record.
Concerned Women Political Action Committee has endorsed Senator Marco Rubio for reelection to his U.S. Senate seat in Florida.
We hope you will stand with us in this decision and, in turn, will support Marco.
So much is at stake. That’s why bringing Marco Rubio back to the United States Senate is key.
Regardless of who the next President is, the judges they appoint will have to be confirmed by the United States Senate.
This year with so many competitive Senate seats, we need every vote we can get.
We also know that Marco will be solid on our issues. He has voted to protect life, marriage, and religious liberty.
This Senate seat is so important that Senator Ted Cruz endorsed Marco as soon as he announced he was running again. These two fought a spirited campaign for President, but Ted knows what we all do – we have to win this seat.
